The family of the Klawervlei Stud based champion TWICE OVER (Observatory) gained a further boost following Tuesday’s JRHA Select Foal Sale.

The sale was topped by a Heart’s Cry colt out of Ballerina Stakes winner Hilda’s Passion, who was knocked down to businessman Yoshihisa Ozasa for 380million yen.

He is a half-brother to the remarkable YOSHIDA (a G1 winner on both turf and dirt), as well as G3 Shinzan Kinen winner SANCTUAIRE (Deep Impact).

“I think this is the outstanding individual in today’s catalogue. I was bidding in earnest and am very happy to buy such fantastic young horse. I hope he grows up well and will be in the field of major races in future,” Ozasa’s racing manager, Morito Kajihara said.

The sales topping colt is from the same family as Twice Over himself, with both the colt in question and Twice Over descended in female line from LOST VIRTUE (Cloudy Dawn).

A four time G1 winner, Twice Over is set to be represented in the upcoming G1 Vodacom Durban July by his dual July winning son, and reigning South African Horse Of The Year DO IT AGAIN with another son SWIFT SURPRISE a runner in the same day’s G3 DStv Gold Vase.

Also sire of this season’s top-class three-year-old INVIDIA, Twice Over has nine lots on offer at the upcoming Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.
